The Life in the UK test is a legal requirement for most adults applying for British citizenship or indefinite leave to remain (ILR). It demonstrates that you have sufficient knowledge of British history, culture, values and traditions.
The test has 24 multiple-choice questions. You need to answer at least 18 correctly (75%) to pass. Questions are drawn from the official handbook, but memorising everything from a dense book is hard. Haven makes it manageable.
Each attempt costs £50. Failing means rebooking and paying again, which is why proper preparation matters.

I was exhausted. New baby, full-time work, and somewhere in between I needed to pass the Life in the UK test.
Reading a dense handbook on no sleep wasn't working. I'd read the same paragraph three times and retain nothing.
Then came the day of my test. I arrived, documents in hand, only to be turned away at the door. I'd missed my middle name on the booking form. Lost my fee. Mandatory stand-down period. There were tears that day.
By the time I could rebook, the official material had been updated. I had to start over.
When I finally passed, I wanted to build Haven. It took a couple of years to take the plunge, but here it is. Something you can study from in five-minute windows, with mock exams that actually reflect the real test.
I built it so nobody else has to go through what I did.
